Jenny

The westside of the airport. I noticed the shadow of the Cessna 180 producing a dramatic effect on the ground.

Union Station

The Union Station in Tacoma on a late May evening in 2003.

Another one of those panoramics. The Tacoma convention center under construction in 2003. The camera is a Canon Powershot S50. October 2003

Here was my 5 minute poetry creation sponsored by the Tacoma Public Library at the Tacoma Cultural Arts Celebration. Corny or not corny? August 2006

White Summer Morning

Summer 2004
Taken during the mid-morning hours.

Color Vette

The original image.

Vette

This is a Corvette Stingray from the back. Another color image I converted into a duotone. There is something very sensual about this image. August 2003. I used an Olympus Stylus point and shoot with a f2.8 lens.

Snow 2004

This is snow on a trunk, part II. I created a duotone from a color image. Olympus Camedia 3000.

Snow 2004

A snowstorm in January of 2004 produced over a foot of snow during the first week. In the backyard is an apple tree, so I decided to photograph the snow on the trunk. Olympus Camedia 3000.

Sounder Train

Another one of those panoramic shots. Canon Powershot S50.

The Costco Sunset

The Costco parking lot. This was an October evening and I saw the clouds with the sun shining through. A stitching program put the 3 images together. Canon Powershot S50.

Red Rose

A red rose in the backyard. It was a overcast morning in July. I used a Nikon Coolpix 5200 point and shoot with the macro setting. July 2006

Grumman Goose Nacelle

The Grumman Goose nacelle and prop. Interesting background of cloud formations. The striking color and the rich blue sky creates a nice contrast image. Nikon D70 with a 28-105mm Nikon ED lens. August 2004

The Skagit Regional airport

As you can see, Krista and I are posing with a Robinson R22 helicopter at the Skagit Regional airport near Whidbey Island. This is for a photography book called An Aviation Life: Pacific Northwest Women in Aviation. The camera on the tripod is a Nikon F100. The day was 20 June 2006

Washington State Historical Museum

This shot was in color and I changed it to a black and white image for a better effect. Located in old Tacoma, the Washington State Historical Museum was located in this building, but moved into the new facilities ten years ago which is located on Pacific avenue in downtown Tacoma.

Wispy clouds over Tacoma

The clouds in the late afternoon in August produced this formation above Tacoma. Notice the two trees to give the composition a scale to view. This shot was taken around 6:30pm to 7:00pm. The temperature at the time was 78 to 80 degrees. I used a Nikon Coolpix 5400 that was manufactured in Korea from imported Japanese parts.
